Title IX and Student Safety at Central Christian University
Student safety is a matter that is taken seriously at Central Christian University. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 as amended, FERPA, is strictly enforced on our campus. We ensure that the student’s right to privacy is observed through a personal identification number process in which the student chooses what information to make available and to whom. Additionally, these permissions are held in an electronic format through our primary system database to provide every department the necessary tools and knowledge to protect our students.
Any gender discrimination which includes but is not limited to sexual violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, domestic/dating violence, or stalking is never acceptable in any environment, including the educational setting. The Division of Student Affairs can connect you with the following resources to any sexual harassment/assault complainant to ensure his or her safety and wellbeing: victim advocacy, housing assistance, academic support, counseling, disability services, health and mental health services, legal assistance, and the right to report a crime to campus and/or local law enforcement.
